South Coast Squids operate in line with South Australian public school term dates with exception to Term 4 that extends to 10 weeks. South Coast Squids do not operate, nor charge for classes, that fall on a public holiday.
Term fees are payable two weeks in advance via fortnightly direct debit or full upfront payment is accepted by the close of business Friday Week 1 of the term.
Pro-rata fees apply to enrolments commencing part-way through the term.
All bookings are considered ongoing for the duration of the Term and will automatically roll over to the subsequent school term unless advised otherwise. This includes the automatic rollover from Term 4 to Term 1 of the following year.
Holiday Programs
Absences accrued within Holiday Programs are not eligible for a refund or makeup token under any circumstances.
Cancellation terms:
Before 7 days of program commencement – full refund
Within 7 days of program commencement – no refund unless under extenuating circumstances, supply of medical certificate and at the discretion of management.
Lesson Booking Cancellation & Notice Period
Lessons not attended at the start of each term, without notification of your intended absence, will result in automatic cancellation of your booking after two consecutively missed lessons.
To cancel an enrolment, South Coast Squids requires a drop of enrolment to be lodged via the iClassPro portal. The drop of enrolment button can be located within the student's enrolment details under your family account. A 14-day notice period is required for all drop of enrolments, the iClasspro system will automatically calculate this notification period allowing the customer to only select a day 14 days in advance. The drop date submission request will not be approved by staff if the account balance is outstanding.
South Coast Squids reserves the right to drop any enrolments should an account be outstanding by more than two weeks. Should direct debit details not be added to the account, or payment not be received in full by the end of week 1 of the term, South Coast Squids reserves the right to refuse entry to the lesson.
Where ongoing payment reminders or follow-up are required due to overdue accounts, South Coast Squids reserves the right to require future lesson fees to be paid in full upfront prior to the commencement of subsequent terms.
Cancellation Due to Serious Illness or Injury
In the case of serious illness or injury, South Coast Squids must be notified by email of the anticipated duration of absence. Class enrolments can be held for a maximum of 4 weeks with applied credit for the absence, any absence longer than 4 weeks will need to be actioned as a drop in the iClassPro system or have makeup tokens applied instead of credit. Credits will be financially applied to any missed lessons (up to a maximum of 4 weeks) that fall within the specified timeframe as outlined by a medical professional.
Refund Policy
South Coast Squids has no provisions for refund, except in extenuating circumstances and at the discretion of South Coast Squids management.
Referral Program
The South Coast Squids refer a friend promotion offers 1 credit appropriate to the current enrolment value of the lowest fee-paying student. Credits are applied to accounts on a fortnightly basis and may be accrued multiple times. Credits are not redeemable for cash.
Account Queries and Payments
All account queries and payments can only be made during office hours – Monday-Friday 9am-5pm.
During Week 1 of each term, office staff may at their discretion offer extended hours of service to allow for full term payments outside of standard working hours, otherwise full term payment must be received by close of business on Friday of week 1.
Class Consolidation
Although unlikely, South Coast Squids may at times need to cancel or consolidate classes due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g. unforeseen staff absences). South Coast Squids cannot guarantee instructor requests and staffing schedules may change at any time within the term.
Photography and Video
Photography and video recording by patrons is permitted within the pool area, provided that only their own child is included in the frame and no other swimmers or families are captured. Families must always be mindful and respectful of children who are not permitted to be photographed or filmed for safety or protection reasons, and must take care to ensure these children are not included in any imagery. If there is any uncertainty, families are required to check with a staff member before taking photos or video.
Photography and filming is strictly prohibited in all change room, shower, and bathroom areas under any circumstances.
South Coast Squids reserves the right to capture photos and video of students for internal marketing and South Coast Squids social media channels, where appropriate consent has been provided via the iClassPro portal. Make-up Lesson Policy 2026
As a courtesy, a make-up token for any missed class is available. Make-up tokens are unlimited.
Notice of your intended absence must be recorded via the Customer Portal at least 2 hours before the lesson commencement time.
Make-up tokens are conditional based on the following:
- Notice of absence must be received at least 2 hours before the commencement of the swim lesson via the Family Portal.
- If your child decides to stop (or not participate on the day) for whatever reason, it is considered an attended lesson and will not be eligible for a make-up token.
- Make-up tokens expire within 90 days.
- Make-up tokens cannot be credited or refunded. No discounts on subsequent term fees are eligible for missed lessons under any circumstances.
- Make-up lessons that have been booked and not attended will be forfeited and not re-issued. Changes to make-up lessons can occur only by phoning the swim school during business hours on (08) 7081 0070.
- Make-up tokens may only be redeemed in advance in urgent or medical-related situations and at the discretion of management.
- Punch Passes: If a Punch Pass booking is cancelled with at least 2 hours' notice, the session will be returned to the customer's Punch Pass for future use. Cancellations made less than 2 hours before the session, or failure to attend, will result in the session being forfeited.
- Private Lessons: Make-up tokens accrued from missed private lessons may be redeemed during school holiday periods with a Senior Instructor. We cannot guarantee that your regular instructor will be available during school holiday periods, and make-up lessons may therefore be scheduled with another suitably qualified Senior Instructor.
- Holiday Intensives: Make-up tokens cannot be used towards, or applied to, any Holiday Intensive Program blocks.
- South Coast Squids reserves the right to refuse the use of make-up tokens for accounts that are financially not up-to-date.
